It’s not like you’d be here if you didn’t enjoy iTunes, but for those of you who are curious, here’s what’s on offer if you’re done with Apple!

iTunes vs Mediamonkey

iTunes vs Mediamonkey

To be honest, the main reason for this post is the i’ve ditched iTunes. In the end it just couldn’t handle my large library, and was too much of a resource hog, especially as i didn’t even use the store… the only problem was that my iPod wouldn’t work outside of iTunes, this just it’s true though, because using a combination of MediaMonkey and Floola, it’s easily possible.

The single feature that MediaMonkey lacks, is the Music Store.

Main Features

  • Organize music and edit tags in your audio library with a powerful, intuitive interface
  • Automatically lookup and tag Album Art and other metadata
  • Manage 50,000+ files in your music collection without bogging down
  • Play MP3s and other audio formats, and never again worry about varying volume
  • Record CDs into OGG, MP3, FLAC and WMA files
  • Convert MP3s, M4A, OGG, FLAC and WMA files into other formats
  • Create playlists and music mixes quickly and easily to suit any occasion
  • Synchronize with iPods / MP3 players effortlessly and convert tracks on-the-fly
