ATTENTION: There is a better alternative to OurTunes called Mojo. Read this article.
Save files from you networked computers, while listening to an iTunes shared library. You can save your friends - sorry, YOUR - mp3s and aacs across a network.
Tips for making it work better:
- Start iTunes just before starting ourTunes.
- In OurTunes, select a download directory. This MUST already exist.
- Select the shared library you want from within OurTunes.
- It’ll say “creating passthrough thread…” and should then give some information about the library you chose.
- Back in iTunes, select the second version of the library. This should have just appeared…
- Play a song to download it. You can pause to speed it up.
- It helps to fully listen to the first song; “speed downloading” often causes iTunes to disconnect from the share which is an inconvenience.

This program also runs on a Mac. There are a few bugs however, but the core functions still work. See here.
Hello, I can not get the jar file for our tunes to open it tells me there are errors and to check the console?
Sorry, i’m not sure about that error. Maybe try updating Java? Restart iTunes (and the computer?) Reinstall iTunes? I don’t know if any of this will work, but give it a try and get back to us okay?
What are the errors, anyway? Good luck.
As the article now shows, there is a much better equivalent to Ourtunes called Mojo.
Where do the songs get downloaded to? I can’t find them! : (
Ya, I can’t find the songs either, here is what I have typed in to the format outputted file, and I can’t find them in the file I specified!
%R_%a-%t.%eC:\Documents and Settings\Traci Carlson\Desktop\New Folder
when i click the song, it downloads instantly and goes to the next song and instantly downloads that too–and then the next and the next and the next. but when i open the songs in itunes to listen, only the first two seconds or so of the song are there–what the cupcake is going on?!?
