Virtual CD drive + “burn” to the CD Drive = rip the DRM out and have fresh MP3s!

if you have a mac. drag the songs to the desktop. delete them from itunes. highlight the song. click get info. change the file extension from .m4p to .m4a. then double click the song and it will import into itunes. you dont need any kind of program.

If you want to maintain the same quality of the drm file then burn to audio file in Itunes then use another ripper (dbpoweram,mediamonkey etc.. and rip to Flac. It’s lossless and you won’t be transcoding and the output will be the same as the input less drm. As to Audiophiles I doubt they would be using Itunes DRM music @ 128kbps.

Burn your DRM songs to cd. Rip back in to iTunes with it set to rip as mp3. Problem solved.

QTFairUse6 and MyFairTunes7 both have the ABILITY to crack 7.6.1.9′s DRM. The problem is, the Developers have been ordered to cease and desist. We have to take it into our own hands and make a new QTFairUse6 config file or a MyFairTunes7 patch.xml showing the offsets and such into iTunes. The problem is: Who is willing that can actually do it?

I use iTunes on Windows. When I was using iTunes 6, I used a program called QTFairUse6 to remove the iTunes DRM. However, it doesn’t work with iTunes 7. To get around this, I uninstall iTunes 7 and reinstall version 6 just long enough to run the program on any new tracks I buy. Then I reinstall iTunes 7 and Bob’s your uncle. DRM-free with no apparent quality loss… m4p becomes m4a. It’s a bit of a kludge but it works.
